Married couple from France: They threaten us with death, accuse us of revealing Tomašica!

Behzad Čirkin, an SDP politician from Prijedor, received a letter from one Nerka Božičić from France who claims that she and her husband are being threatened with death, after the location of Tomašica, one of the largest mass graves in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was discovered, reports the Patria news agency.

Namely, as she wrote, she turned to Čirkin because she believes he can help since he is a politician.

- I am in a mixed marriage, my husband is a Serb, but we get along well and have no problem with nationalism. During the war we lived in Prijedor. After the war we were evicted from the house we lived in and had to go to Busnove, where my husband is from. We were engaged in agriculture and somehow barely survived from it, so we decided to go to France, seeking a better life. But it wasn't easy, so we only managed in 2005. However, ever since the mass grave Tomašica was found, Serbs here have been persecuting and following us with the intention of killing us, probably thinking that we discovered that grave. I guarantee you that I knew nothing about that grave, nor did my husband, nor do I know anything about war crimes that would make me a witness against anyone. Someone from Prijedor apparently thought it was me because I am a Muslim or wanted to harm us. I don't know who investigated that grave except what I learned through the media. Do we have to suffer here innocently because of someone who reported it? I heard through the media that it was two Serbs, whose identity is being kept secret – it is stated, among other things, in the letter.

From the mass grave Tomašica, the remains of 430 victims have been discovered so far, of which 275 are complete bodies. Among the bodies, men of various ages and women have been found. Due to the clay soil in Tomašica, many bodies even after 20 years still have hair, nails, and even tissue, and images of the horror of Tomašica have gone around the world.
