BPS is not part of the majority in Sarajevo Canton!

Denis Zvizdić, future Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, stated in an interview with the media at the annual press conference of the Party of Democratic Action that the formation of the government could have been faster, and he particularly addressed the situation in Sarajevo Canton, writes the Patria News Agency.

As Patria has previously reported, and which some media outlets falsely published, Zvizdić confirmed today. Namely, in Sarajevo Canton, BPS-Sefer Halilović does not form the majority, because, as Zvizdić explained, SDA and DF are currently in a coalition in Sarajevo Canton.

- I cannot say that BPS is part of the majority. SDA and DF form the basic foundation; a third or fourth party with whom we will form the majority has not yet been agreed upon. We now have a sufficient majority that can form both legislative and executive power, but we will strive to form a more stable majority - says Zvizdić.

He explained that the official signing with DF is expected next week.

- Therefore, SDA and DF will form the basic foundation of the future executive and legislative power in Sarajevo Canton. Occupied with this choice in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament, we did not manage to sign. We will arrange the signing of the agreement next week and announce who will form the parliamentary majority in Sarajevo Canton - added Zvizdić.

Two MPs from SDP, Amel Mekić and Hamed Aljović, have joined the SDA-DF coalition, which with 19 votes is enough to form the executive power. Incidentally, Rasim Smajić and Haris Pleho from BOSS also supported the budget rebalancing, which means there are 21 votes in the KS Assembly.
