SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Orthodox Christians around the world celebrate Christmas today.
The Holy Hierarchical Liturgy at the Cathedral Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God (Cathedral Church) will be led by Metropolitan Chrysostom of Dabar-Bosnia.
In his Christmas message, Chrysostom stated that Christmas is not just a holiday of remembrance, but above all, always and again a new event in our hearts, in our being, in our Church, in our community. Mysteriously, our hearts, our beings, become a place where Jesus Christ always and constantly resides.
"May Christmas be a Christmas of open doors and open hearts not only for God, for Christ the Lord, but also for those for whom He Himself said - if you welcomed one of these little ones, if you clothed him, if you fed or gave him drink, if you visited him in the hospital or went to see him in prison, you did all that for Me," said the Metropolitan.
