Bosniaks are dark-skinned: School claims journalists manipulated Ante

At today's session of the Student Council of the Traffic School in Mostar, the issue surrounding an episode of the series Perspectives produced by the media house Mebius film from Sarajevo was discussed, reports the Patria news agency.

- Twenty students from our school participated in the mentioned film. We answered various questions about nationality, nationalism, mixed marriages, the past and legacy of the war, the division of the city, the educational system, and organized gatherings (initiative for change).

From all the statements of our students, certain ones were singled out that further raised tensions on certain portals and social networks. We, the students, in most cases minors, were not sufficiently familiar with the topic of the film and the provocative questions and follow-up questions that were asked of us.

Therefore, the answers in the statements of some students were the result of skillful journalistic manipulation, and certainly not of parental upbringing and educational content - the Student Council's statement emphasizes.

The Council notes that they distance themselves from certain statements that might have made someone feel offended.

- We are sorry if any statement by our student offended anyone - the Student Council of the Mostar Traffic School stated.

As a reminder, over the past two days, a great storm has arisen on social networks over the statement of student Ante, who spoke about his fellow Bosniaks in the show Perspectives. Among other things, he said that he recognizes them by their darker skin tone and that he has never been to the Old Bridge.
