Bosniaks almost no longer govern Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbs and Croats hold important institutions

Bosniaks currently manage the least important institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, although they are the most numerous of the three constituent peoples in the country, experts warn, writes the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

Serbs head the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), the Personal Data Protection Agency, lead the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH, the Veterinary Office...

Croats, almost always, manage the country's finances.

On the other hand, representatives of Bosniak nationality are most often in the leading positions of less significant state institutions such as the Public Procurement Agency, the Food Safety Agency, or, for example, the Institute of Metrology.

Every institution in the country, experts warn, has its role, but it is clear that the country is governed by whoever "holds" the most important institutions.

Edhem Bičakčić, a BiH politician and former Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, warns that it is now clear that Bosniaks have lost control of the main levers of state governance, which certainly does not lead in a good direction.

- Bosniaks should blame their own politicians who represent them, and who failed to fight for better positions in power with representatives of the other two peoples - Bičakčić told NAP.

- This must change.

Omer Ibrahimagić, a professor of Constitutional Law, claims that if Bosnia and Herzegovina is to become a country of equal peoples, it is necessary to introduce a rotation system in all common institutions in the country, including those that are not, which will be strictly respected, writes NAP.
