Bosnić: These guys deserve support, let's fill the hall

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The BiH basketball team faces qualification matches for the 2023 World Cup in Japan, the Philippines, and Indonesia, and ahead of the first match against the Czech Republic, a press conference was held where coach Vedran Bosnić addressed the attendees.

The Dragons will play against the Czech Republic in Skenderija on November 26, and three days later they will visit Bulgaria. Coach Bosnić hopes for great support from the fans.

“We haven't played at home in a long time. I mean, we played in a bubble in Sarajevo, but unfortunately without an audience. These guys went to the European Championship when few thought they would succeed. They deserve for us to fill the hall as much as we can on Friday. If that's four thousand, then let it be four thousand people. And for them to get that applause, new energy, and for you to help us all play the best possible game on Friday and try to win,” said Bosnić.

The coach of our national team also commented on the Czech team, which is coming to Sarajevo weakened.

“We know that Veselý and Satoranský are not playing. As for the others, if you know, tell us. We don't know 100% who they are and that they won't come. They are a very good team. They played in the Olympic Games. Of course, they are much stronger with Veselý and Satoranský. They are a very good team that has been playing together for a long time, that transitions very well. Everyone shoots. Their big men step out and shoot. They have had the same coach for many years. They play mostly the same system. I wouldn't talk much about them, but about us. We want a win. They are strong, but we want a win,” emphasized our coach.

Bosnić was also asked if our national team can be first in the group.

“What I can say is that we will prepare well for every match and want to win. If that is enough to be first, we will be first. We are looking at these qualifications to be among the top three, because that brings us to the second round of qualifications,” added Bosnić.
