Bosnalijek provided New Year's packages to children from the 'Duga' Center in Kulen Vakuf

(Patria) - The largest Bosnian-Herzegovinian manufacturer of medicines and pharmaceutical products, Bosnalijek, as part of the celebration of the company's 70th anniversary, presented a donation to the Center for neglected children “Duga“ from Kulen Vakuf.

All residents of the Center were provided with New Year's packages, and disinfectant products and packages with food supplements were also donated. Also, Bosnalijek purchased New Year's cards from the “Duga“ Center, which are traditionally delivered to business partners.

The Center for children without parental care “Duga“ was built in 1999, when it also started operating. The main goal of the “Duga“ Center is to provide care for children aged from birth to six years, who have temporarily or permanently lost parental care, as well as to provide help and support to children in their psycho-motor development.

In the past 22 years, 329 children have been admitted to the “Duga“ Center, and 308 have been transferred to other forms of care by social work decisions, of which 106 were returned to their biological families. 138 children were adopted, while 64 children were placed in other institutions.

Bosnalijek will continue to support the “Duga“ Center in its mission of providing support to children without parental care in the future.
