Bosnalijek and Sarajevo Ballet Celebrate 70th Anniversary Together

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - We are extremely proud that, after a break caused by the pandemic, ballet has returned to the audience in Sarajevo and that the successful premiere of the play "Harvest" marked 100
years of the National Theatre Sarajevo and 70 years of the Sarajevo Ballet and Bosnalijek.

We are especially happy because this is happening in a year when Bosnalijek, as the general sponsor of the play "Harvest", is also celebrating its 70th birthday and that three valuable jubilees have been marked in this way.

We at Bosnalijek are convinced that culture and art are also medicine for the soul and body, especially in a time when we are all trying to return to the life we lived before the pandemic as soon as possible. We are sure that the return of ballet to the stage of the National Theatre is a good sign that we are returning to the "old normal". In seven decades of existence, Bosnalijek has grown into the largest industrial drug manufacturer in Bosnia and Herzegovina and one of the pharmaceutical leaders in the wider region.

Probably not even the greatest optimists and visionaries, back in 1951, could have imagined that after 70 years Bosnalijek would grow into a company that operates in more than 20 countries and whose products are used daily by millions of people on three continents. All this is the result of the work, expertise and vision of thousands of workers who have passed through the company in these 70 years, and all of them deserve special congratulations on this anniversary. Similarly, numerous artists, with their talent and desire to constantly progress and be the best in their work, have contributed to the development and success of the Sarajevo National Theatre and Ballet over the past hundred years, and all of them deserve due recognition.

Surely the best times, both for Bosnalijek and for the National Theatre, are yet to come.
