Bosnia and Herzegovina first country in the world to introduce new generation passports

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has adopted the Rulebook on the price of travel documents, which envisages the introduction of a new generation of passports, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

Bosnia and Herzegovina will be the first country in the world with a new generation of passports that meets four conditions: laser personalization, online data acquisition, a polycarbonate data page, and a color photo.

The price of a passport valid for ten years is 50.00 BAM, which is twice as cheap as the average passport price in the region and Europe, which amounts to 64.8 euros.

The price of a passport for children aged three to 18, valid for five years, is 40.00 BAM, and for children under three years of age, the passport price is 30.00 BAM, with a validity period of three years, reports NAP.
