Bosnia and Herzegovina will become an energy giant in the region with Block 7

The construction of Block 7 of the Tuzla Thermal Power Plant will enable Bosnia and Herzegovina to become one of the energy leaders in the region, Anto Domazet, professor at the Faculty of Economics and a representative in the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina, told the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

Today, the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina accepted the information on the selection of the company that will build this large energy facility, thus enabling the realization of the largest post-war investment in BiH.

- This is an investment that has no alternative. An investment that allows local energy resources to be used in the best possible way, and also ensures employment for people in the value chain of electricity generation in coal mines - says Domazet.

According to him, the construction of Block 7 within the public company Elektroprivreda BiH will not only enable our country to continue exporting electricity but will also attract new investors.

- Electricity will not only be an export product but also a factor of competitiveness in attracting investors who need cheap, available, and reliable electricity - said Domazet, adding that the future Block 7 can maximally utilize the opportunities that are currently available on the global market, writes Patria.
