Bosić seeks constitutionality review of FBiH cantonal constitutions that do not recognize Serb constitutionality

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Mladen Bosić (SDS), Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH PA, will today submit a request for a constitutionality review of the constitutions of cantons in FBiH that do not recognize the constitutionality of the Serb people, nor the Serbian language and the Cyrillic alphabet.

We remind you that the deputies of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the last session, supported the initiative of Denis Bećirović (SDP), despite the fact that deputies of SNSD and HDZ BiH voted against the equality and constitutionality of Serbs in four cantons in the Federation of BiH.

The initiative calls on the competent authorities of Herzegovina-Neretva, West Herzegovina and Posavina cantons, as well as Canton 10, to amend their constitutions within 30 days in order to ensure the equality of Serbs, as well as to specify and ensure the constitutional equality of the Bosnian and Serbian languages, and the Latin and Cyrillic alphabets.

Borjana Krišto (HDZ BiH), Miroslav Milovanović (SNSD), Lazar Prodanović (SNSD), Milica Marković (SNSD), Dušanka Majkić (SNSD), Staša Košarac (SNSD), Predrag Kožul (HDZ BiH) and Nikola Lovrinović (HDZ BiH) voted against.
