Bosić asks Dodik: What after the referendum?

The Presidency of the SDS discussed the current political situation in both the Republic of Srpska and BiH at its first session in the new convocation today in East Sarajevo, reports the Patria news agency.

Party leader Mladen Bosić said at a press conference that they are concerned about the development of the situation, adding that everything is happening with the aim of increasing tensions in both the RS and BiH. Speaking about the referendum announced by Milorad Dodik, Bosić said that there are too many open questions, too many unresolved issues to be able to decisively declare their position on that referendum at this moment.

- First of all, we ask Dodik to explain what will happen on Monday after the referendum, in what way he intends to turn that will of the citizens into reality. Because there is no doubt, if he were to pose such a question, the outcome of the referendum is known - Bosić said.

He pointed out that the majority of citizens of the Republic of Srpska, as well as the SDS, believe that the „Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH have been used for prosecuting, primarily Serbs from the past war, that it is an institution that has not passed the test of objectivity and has not dispensed justice equally for all“.

- From that standpoint, we believe it has failed the test of functioning in the past period. But, we ask Milorad Dodik, since his SNSD once voted for the laws that established the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH, in what way does he intend to legally annul those decisions and whether anyone stands in support of those moves of his - Bosić said.

He emphasized that the SDS demands from Dodik to explain what happens if citizens vote „for“ or „against“ in the referendum, depending on how the question is formulated.

- We advocate for changing the way the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH function, but we do not want to bring either the RS or the Serbs into a situation where we take an adventurous path that could have serious consequences - Bosić said, reported BNTV.
