Bosić is leaving, Mićo Mićić is the new SDS president

The regular SDS Congress will be held in the spring of next year, where new party leadership will be elected, writes the BH News Agency Patria. 

Preparations on the ground are well underway, and municipal and regional organizations are considering names of possible successors to Mladen Bosić. For now, one of the SDS vice-presidents and the current mayor of Bijeljina, Mićo Mićić, has the most candidacies from the base. He enjoys great respect not only among SDS members but also on the political scene of Republika Srpska.  

Who else will appear as a counter-candidate to Bosić, who has been at the head of the SDS for eight years, at the Congress will be known in the coming months. 

As a reminder, today the leader of NDP, former SDS president Dragan Čavić, tried to reform the party, striving for it to become a modern center-right party by removing many compromised wartime members from the party leadership.

After the catastrophic election defeat in 2006, this failed when he was dismissed, and the relatively radical Mladen Bosić came to the head of the party.
