Bosić: I don't see what benefit RS would have if its representatives left BiH institutions

SDS President Mladen Bosić stated after today's session of the party's Presidency that SDS is ready to determine a common stance with other parties from Republika Srpska as a response to the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH.

Bosić stated that the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH have become unsustainable from the standpoint that the Constitutional Court, instead of interpreting laws and decisions, is increasingly making them, Nezavisne novine reported, as conveyed by the BiH news agency Patria.

Bosić announced that SDS will attend the meeting convened by the President of RS Milorad Dodik and that all options are possible as a response to the situation, but he emphasized that he expects Dodik to present arguments regarding the announcements of possible withdrawal of RS representatives from the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Constitutional Court of BiH made a ruling stating that Republika Srpska Day, January 9th, is not in accordance with the Constitution of BiH and that the authorities in RS have six months to choose another date to mark the day of this BiH entity.

Such a decision by the Court met with a sharp reaction from all political parties in Republika Srpska.

The stance of almost all parties before today's meeting in Banja Luka is that Republika Srpska must provide a unified response to the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH, and if that includes withdrawal from state institutions, that response will be respected.

Leaders of political parties in RS also state that they will certainly respect the Declaration already adopted by the NSRS, which clearly states that Republika Srpska Day, January 9th, will not be abolished regardless of the Constitutional Court's decision, writes Patria.
