Borrell: I condemn the attack by an armed gang on Kosovo police officers

(Patria) - I most strongly condemn the horrific attack by an armed gang on Kosovo police officers in Banjska in northern Kosovo, in which one police officer is dead and two are injured. All facts about the attack need to be established. Those responsible must face justice, according to the reaction of the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell.

"More innocent lives have been endangered in the ongoing hostilities around the Banjska monastery. These attacks must stop immediately. EULEX, and others responsible for security, are on the ground and in close contact with the authorities and KFOR.

The EU and its member states call on all actors to work towards de-escalating the situation in northern Kosovo," Borrell stated.
