Borić: I accept the candidacy for the BiH Presidency if the party decides so

The Presidency of the Social Democratic Party will finally decide today who will be their candidate for the member of the BiH Presidency, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP). Most likely, it will be Besima Borić, a representative in the FBiH Parliament.

She confirmed for NAP that she is ready to accept the candidacy for the member of the BiH Presidency, if she receives the support of the party leadership.

- Personally, I accept the candidacy if the SDP Presidency decides so – Borić told us today. For a long time, the SDP has been trying to find a suitable person for the candidacy, after numerous high-ranking party officials refused, doubting that the SDP had already surrendered the fight for that position to Bakir Izetbegović, the SDA candidate.

The session of the SDP Presidency at which the final decision will be confirmed was scheduled for today at 11 AM, but it was postponed to the afternoon. Besides Borić, Mehmed Bradarić, a state representative from Maglaj, was also an option.

However, he only told us that a decision is expected today and could not confirm that he was an option for the candidacy. The President of the SDP, Zlatko Lagumdžija, had already decided earlier not to run for the BiH Presidency and will be the holder of the SDP list for the BiH Parliament, reports NAP.
