Football Club Sarajevo, by advancing to the play-off phase of the Europa League competition, has delighted numerous fans who have been waiting for a more significant success in Europe for many years, writes the news agency Patria.

However, besides the fans, Sarajevo businessmen and people in the club are also rubbing their hands, because for our standards, this will not be an insignificant financial injection. This will be particularly contributed to by the fact that Sarajevo will play against the German Borussia Mönchengladbach in the play-off, which will attract a large number of fans to the Koševo stadium.

As Zlatko Hurtić told NAP, the most important thing for Bosnia and Herzegovina is to "pass to the second round" in the upcoming elections, because with the current people in power, it is difficult for us to move forward more strongly and achieve successes like FK Sarajevo has.

- The situation is generally difficult, and Sarajevo's success and such a strong and attractive opponent will certainly contribute to the improvement of the economy in some way. It will not be a significant injection for the city and the country itself, but it will certainly be for FK Sarajevo – says Hurtić.

Otherwise, Sarajevo will receive more than 420,000 euros for advancing to the play-off, and will generate a new source of income by selling broadcasting rights for the match from the Asim Ferhatović-Hase stadium. Germans are known for this in Europe, when it comes to football, they don't ask about the price, and initial estimates say that FK Sarajevo could receive around half a million KM just for the TV broadcast.
