Fight against corruption: Crnkić signs plan in line with EU conditions

The Health Insurance Institute of Sarajevo Canton (ZZO KS) signed today the Action Plan for the fight against corruption of ZZO KS, within the project Fight against corruption in public healthcare implemented by the Center for Civic Initiatives (CCI), reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

The signing was attended by representatives of ZZO KS led by director Dr. Sci. Kenan Crnkić, and the reference representative of CCI, Mr. Zoran Adžaip.

- The adoption of the Plan was preceded by joint activities on analyzing the situation and detecting hotspots of corrupt practices in various segments of healthcare in our country - it was announced today.

The project Fight against corruption in public healthcare is implemented under the auspices of the European Union (EU) and aims, among other things, at the full implementation of Chapter 2 of the Strategy and Action Plan through continuous monitoring, development of specific anti-corruption policies and good practices, which will result in a significant increase in public awareness at all levels.

Crnkić stated that by signing this extremely important document, the prerequisites for a thorough and systematic approach to fighting corruption as a multidimensional phenomenon have been met, and expressed confidence that the full implementation of the operational program will result in multiple benefits for all participants in the field of public healthcare, and ultimately for the insured, i.e., the citizens of Sarajevo Canton.
