Fight against car theft: SIPA searched four locations in East Sarajevo

Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today searched facilities at four locations in the area of East Sarajevo, following last night's attempted robbery of a BMW passenger car in Ilidža, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

After police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton prevented the theft of a BMW passenger motor vehicle the previous night and apprehended three persons on that occasion, SIPA police officers, under the orders of the Court of BiH and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, searched facilities at four locations. The mentioned activities were carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton and with the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska.  

Searches of movable and immovable property and suspects were conducted due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the mentioned persons committed the criminal offense of organized crime, in connection with the criminal offense of smuggling and grand theft. During the search, items that could serve as evidence in further proceedings were found and temporarily confiscated.

Appropriate records and reports on the undertaken activities will be forwarded to the Court of BiH and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH during the day.
