Boračko Lake Full of Swimmers and Tourists

Boračko Lake was the ultimate destination for hundreds of excursionists and tourists this weekend, who came to this Herzegovinian pearl of nature from several parts of BiH and the world, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

Beautiful weather, clean air, a natural oasis of peace at an altitude of 397 m were sufficient reasons to escape the city crowds for at least a weekend. Scout camps this summer welcomed and saw off several hundred scouts, who could still be seen today.

Although the rest of BiH was mostly cloudy with temperatures up to ten degrees Celsius lower, the lake under Prenj was still sunny. According to the Patria agency reporter, the beach is clean and tidy, and weekend visitors have set up tents on the grounds around the lake, and barbecues are being prepared for Sunday lunch. Affordable prices in nearby catering facilities are another reason for the large turnout.

Otherwise, Boračko Lake is about 80 km from Sarajevo and 20 km from Konjic and is connected by an asphalt road. If you decide to visit this part of Herzegovina or stay overnight, we recommend warmer clothing as temperatures drop to 0 degrees Celsius at night.
