Fighter for the Republic of BiH: Blaž was killed by HVO members, he did not allow the betrayal of the state

On August 9, 1992, after the brilliant successes of the HOS units under the command of Major General Blaž Kraljević on the Trebinje battlefield and the liberation of the city center and the sincere desire to liberate the entire territory of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, they stood with other patriotic forces against the nationalists and fascists from the self-proclaimed Croatian community of "Herceg-Bosna", who wanted a divided Bosnia and Herzegovina at all costs.

Members of the HVO military police, on the orders of the leadership of the Croatian community of Herceg-Bosna, ambushed and killed Blaž Kraljević and 8 HOS members in Kruševo on the main road from Mostar to Čapljina in 1992.

Blaž Kraljević was born on September 17, 1947, in the village of Lisice, near Ljubuški. Upon arriving in Herzegovina at the end of 1991, he became the head of the Croatian Party of Rights, i.e., the HSP branch for BiH, and on January 15, 1991, he was appointed commander of the HOS war staff for Herzegovina, with the rank of HOS colonel, writes Historija.ba.

The policy of the Croatian Defence Forces, led by Kraljević, was aimed at the political and military alliance of Croats and Bosniaks in Bosnia and Herzegovina against the Greater Serbian policy of conquering Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Croatian Defence Forces reached a respectable strength in the summer of 1992.

After the liberation of Mostar, the Croatian Defence Forces, in which besides Croats, a good number of Bosniaks fought, broke through to the town of Stolac, and on August 6, they occupied parts of the Trebinje municipality.

Blaž Kraljević issued a public proclamation calling on Croats and Bosniaks not to accept the betrayal of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Unfortunately, Kraljević was killed in an ambush on August 9, 1992, and to this day, no one has been held accountable for this crime.
