Better than Čelik: Sarajevo goes into the break with a five-point lead over Zrinjski

Sarajevo footballers achieved another triumph in the 19th round of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and this time Čelik 'fell' at Koševom with a score of 3:1.

A great match was played at the Asim Ferhatović Hase stadium, with which Sarajevo, as the autumn champion, said goodbye to its fans for this part of the season.

The match started great, Mersudin Ahmetović had two chances on one side, and Ševko Okić responded on the other. However, Sarajevo soon took the initiative on the field, but the great Vedran Ružić saved Čelik six times by the 20th minute.

However, he failed to do so in the 36th minute when Selmir Pidro scored a goal assisted by Amar Rahmanović, giving the maroon team the lead.

Excitement in the first half continued, as two minutes later Mahir Mehić received a second yellow card, leaving the Zenica team in trouble. However, the guests did not give up with one player less.

In the penultimate minute of the first half, Marin Jurina, on his second attempt, managed to beat Vladan Kovačević, and the teams went into the break with a score of 1:1.

Sarajevo started the second half very offensively. Chances came one after another, the aforementioned Rahmanović had two before he scored a goal in the 54th minute. He remained unmarked after a corner and headed the ball into Ružić's net.

In the continuation, Sarajevo played maturely. They had an extra player, but regardless of that fact, Husref Musemić asked his players not to rush but to cautiously move towards a new goal.

A new goal was seen in the 84th minute, when substitute Haris Handžić scored nicely from a distance, thus recording another triumph for Sarajevo, which will go into the winter break with five points more than its closest competitor, the Zrinjski team.
