Bogunić: HJPC fully stands behind the Court of BiH, politicians should leave BiH judiciary alone

(Patria) - President of the HJPC Sanin Bogunić commented on the end of the proceedings against the president of the smaller BiH entity Milorad Dodik and stated during today's session that the HJPC previously did not want to comment because they did not want to influence the course of the proceedings.

"We considered that our reaction would produce comments, and that is not our goal," said Bogunić.

"What I can say now, as the verdict is in two hours, is that the HJPC fully stands behind the Court, and I have a direct message for Milorad Dodik and all other politicians in this country: Leave the BiH judiciary alone, let judges and prosecutors work based on facts and evidence," said Bogunić and concluded: "The judiciary is not a show and it is not a football match, refrain from commenting".

He added that the judge in this proceeding, Sena Uzunović, was enabled to decide on guilt in a completely safe manner.

"She has protection from before. We have institutions that deal with their security, and at this moment it is most important that the judge does her job based on facts and evidence and that the verdict comes from the judge's mind," said the President of the HJPC.

The verdict in the case of Milorad Dodik and others before the Court of BiH is being delivered today starting at 1:00 PM.
