Općina Stari Grad's rich program: Grand opening of underground garage and square on Independence Day

SARAJevo, (Patria) - On the occasion of the successful completion of four capital projects, including the construction of an underground public garage, and the celebration of March 1st - BiH Independence Day, the Municipality of Stari Grad
is announcing a ceremonial program on the multi-purpose square opposite the City Hall. The ceremony is announced for Sunday, March 1st at 12:00 PM, and a rich and engaging program awaits everyone who decides to come to the multi-purpose square that day.

It is planned that a film about the construction of the four capital projects will be shown on the large stage set up on the square: the underground garage and multi-purpose square in Avdaga Šahinagića street, the sports hall for Elementary School "Edhem Mulabdić", the reconstruction of the Stari Grad Health Center and the administrative headquarters of Stari Grad. With the official unveiling of the plaque with the names of the investors – the Municipality of Stari Grad and the creditors – the Saudi Development Fund, the underground garage will officially start operating, and parking will be free for all citizens that day.

Symbolically, the largest projects realized in the municipality of Stari Grad will be presented on one of the most significant dates in BiH's history, March 1st – Independence Day!

Numerous businessmen from Stari Grad, as well as from the entire Sarajevo, have decided to participate in this ceremony by tasting their products for the citizens. Those who come to the square that day will enjoy numerous delicacies, both savory and sweet, from specialties characteristic of this part of the city: ćevapi, pies, pastries, to pizzas, various cakes, tarts, baklava, as well as chocolates and sweets for the youngest. The Vispak company will take care of coffee lovers, serving coffee from a traditional Bosnian džezva for Guinness.

A rich cultural and entertainment program has also been prepared, and guests on the square will be entertained by the diva of sevdah Hanka Paldum, who has 45 years of undisputed musical career behind her, and KUD "Baščaršija", our oldest society with a tradition of 73 years. The program will be broadcast live by Hayat TV.
