BNV: Greater Serbian policy an objective threat to peace and stability in the Balkans

(Patria) - The Bosniak National Council from Novi Pazar strongly condemns the genocidal threats directed at Bosniaks by Serbian police officers who sang chauvinistic songs in Priboj and called for killing and new crimes.

"According to media reports, Vidosav Avramović, deputy head of the Regional Border Police Center towards Montenegro, Marko Žujić, an officer in the Priboj Police Administration, Milojica Bjelović Mime, former assistant commander, and now shift leader in the Regional Border Police Center, Marko Klisura, retired commander in the Sastavci police department, police officers Goran Šalipur, Vladan Janjušević, Dragan Zeković, and several other members of the Priboj Police Administration are calling for a new genocide against Bosniaks in the video," it stated.

We remind that the crimes against Bosniaks in which Serbian armed forces participated in the Municipality of Priboj, Štrpci, Sjeverin, and Kukurovići have not yet been shed light on and that the perpetrators have not yet been punished, so this event also indicates a threat that an unpunished crime will be repeated. The fact that the perpetrators are high-ranking officials of the Serbian police who are issuing genocidal threats at a time when the state leadership and leadership of Serbia are officially denying and glorifying genocide and
other crimes and encouraging the glorification of convicted war criminals is concerning, and this represents a threat to peace and stability in the region. The government in Serbia is currently composed of the same people who ruled Serbia during the planning, execution, and cover-up of crimes in Croatia, genocide throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sandžak, and Kosovo.

As long as the crimes against the Bosniaks of Sandžak are not shed light on, as long as the perpetrators are not punished, and as long as the lustration process is not carried out, Bosniaks in the Serbian armed forces, as well as in the police, see an objective enemy force that the same armed forces persistently demonstrate, as they did this time.

Long-term discrimination against Bosniaks is present in various areas and in various forms, starting from the denial of the mother tongue of Bosniaks, the Bosnian language, and thus the denial of Bosniaks as a people. The difficult realization and impossibility of realizing the rights of national communities and minority peoples guaranteed by the Constitution and laws, along with the denial of genocide and the glorification of war criminals, are the reasons why Bosniaks in Serbia feel insecure and disenfranchised.
