Near a pedestrian crossing in the Sarajevo settlement of Socijalno tonight, a BMW driver "mowed down" two pedestrians, reports a reporter for the BH News Agency Patria.
The injured persons were transported by ambulance to the Emergency Medicine Clinic, where, according to KCUS spokesperson Muamera Šehić, the extent of their injuries is being determined.
"Patient K.J. (1957) was admitted to the Emergency Center with severe bodily injuries and is life-threateningly injured. She has severe head, chest, and abdominal injuries. After diagnostics, she was referred to the Clinic for Anesthesia and Resuscitation, to the intensive care unit. H.E. (1999) sustained minor bodily injuries and will be released for home treatment after diagnostics," Šehić told us.
Due to the force of the impact, according to what could be seen at the scene, one of the pedestrians was thrown several meters away.
Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton conducted an investigation.
