Blinken: China's support for the Russian war in Ukraine must stop

(Patria) - China's support for the Russian defense industry is prolonging the war in Ukraine and must stop, said US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, reports RSE.

- China's support has enabled Russia to maintain its defense industrial base, and this must stop - Blinken stated at a joint press conference yesterday with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

Stoltenberg, repeating comments he made the previous day, said that China cannot continue normal trade relations with European countries while simultaneously fueling the largest war on the continent since World War II.

He again called on China to face consequences if it continues to support Russia.

China has not imposed sanctions on Russia for the war it started in Ukraine in February 2022.
