Bjelašnica visited by over 200,000 skiers this season

(Patria) - The winter ski season at the Bjelašnica Olympic Center, which began in November, is coming to an end after an extremely successful nearly 150 days of continuous skiing. The official closing of the season is planned for May 1st.

Over the past months, Bjelašnica has once again confirmed its status as one of the leading winter destinations in the region. The mountain was visited by over 200,000 skiers, with more than 1.5 million ski lift rides recorded.

This Olympic Center was also the first ski resort to open the season this year, and will be the last to close it.

In addition to domestic skiers, the season was marked by numerous tourists and visitors from abroad, further confirming Bjelašnica's growing attractiveness on the international tourist map.

A series of sports and promotional events were organized during the winter, among which the hosting of the FIS Europa Cup, which the Bjelašnica Olympic Center is particularly proud of, stands out.

Night skiing was also available to visitors, which further enriched the offer and extended guests' stays on the mountain.

"This season, a special emphasis was placed on developing skiing among the youngest, as evidenced by the large number of ski schools and children on the slopes, in line with the Bjelašnica Olympic Center's campaign this year," the Center stated.

As a symbolic end to a successful season, Bjelašnica is organizing the third annual "Sabah Ski" event tomorrow, which has once again attracted great interest from early skiing enthusiasts. The six-seater lift, Heliodrom, and Kotlovi ski lift will be operational starting at 05:00 AM.

Ahead of the official closing of the season, all skiers and visitors will be able to ski for free on May 1st, as the Bjelašnica Olympic Center wishes to thank all guests for their trust and support throughout the winter.
