Bjelašnica villages increasingly popular: Arabs and French flocked to Šabići, Sinanovići, Brda this year...

Olympic beauty Bjelašnica is full of foreign tourists visiting the villages, and there is no shortage of enjoyment of natural beauties, writes the Patria News Agency.

Untouched nature, crystal clear streams and rivers are increasingly attracting tourists from Europe, as well as Arab countries. One of the most interesting is the village of Lukomir, located at an altitude of 1,472 meters. The village is unique for its stone houses covered with cherry wood shingles.

The village can be reached by minibus from Ilidža, or to the village of Sinanovići, and then you walk along a marked path.

You can also reach the village by car, but only during the summer. Residents of Bjelašnica villages testify that summers on Bjelašnica are particularly attractive to foreigners, even more than winters, and many have rented out cottages to tourists visiting Bjelašnica.

Although there are no significant catering facilities in the villages yet, you will not go hungry thanks to the kind hosts who will gladly offer you lunch.

Near Lukomir, there are several other villages that can be visited: Umoljani, Šabići, Sinanovići, Bobovica, Rakitnica, Tušila, Brda, as well as several mountain lodges.

Residents of Brda say that this year, besides Arabs, most guests are from France, and whole families come and stay in the village for about ten days.

- We are also seeing more and more of our own people from all over BiH coming to Bjelašnica. Some enjoy riding quad bikes, some enjoy simple walks, the water, nature. Wild rabbits, owls, wild boars can be seen here in the evening, and tourists enjoy observing animals in nature - says a resident of Brda.
