Former underage soldiers of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina prepare Visoko streets for March 1

Members of the Association of Underage Soldiers of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina from Visoko cleaned local roads in this municipality over the weekend, thus preparing the local community for March 1 - Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

One of the members of the Association, Armin Trnčić, told Patria that Bosnia and Herzegovina's Independence Day is one of the most important dates of the year for him.

- The situation in BiH is not that good. Because of that, every citizen must make an effort to improve the situation. We must show that we love and respect our country, starting from clean streets and rivers, to responsible politics – says Trnčić.

Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina is celebrated on March 1. On this day, the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia is celebrated. The referendum for the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held on the recommendation of the Arbitration Commission of the International Conference on Yugoslavia, in the final phase of the dissolution of the former SFRY. The referendum was held on February 29 and March 1, 1992.
