Former Austrian Ambassador to BiH Criticizes International Community and its Approach to the Dragičević Case

VIENNA, (Patria) - Former Austrian Ambassador to BiH Martin Pammer, during the international conference "Justice for David and all Children of BiH" in Vienna, criticized the international community and its approach to BiH, especially regarding the case of the deceased young man David Dragičević from Banja Luka and the attempt to cover up his death, which remains unresolved more than a year later.

During his presentation, Pammer described the helplessness of the international community on this issue, "the helplessness of those who can perhaps initiate certain sanctions to penalize such behavior by those who represent us."

Pammer pointed out that "those who are supposedly legitimately elected - and they are not legitimately elected because the election process itself is not legitimate, it is not transparent - they are the ones with whom EU representatives pursue common interests to maintain a situation that is in the interest of political structures, which shows the helplessness of the international community but also the helplessness of citizens who do not have access to legitimate elections."

David Dragičević (22) from Banja Luka disappeared on the night of March 17-18, 2018, after leaving his family home. He was found on March 24 in the Crkvena river, and since then his death has sparked numerous discussions and protests. His family members and friends claim that David was murdered, while the competent institutions in the Bosnian Serb entity of Republika Srpska state that there was no criminal act in the young man's death. His father, Davor Dragičević, filed a criminal complaint against an unknown perpetrator and stated that he possesses evidence that certain things are being fabricated regarding his son's death.
