Former Judge Lejla Fazlagić Returns to BiH, Will Attend Tomorrow's Hearing at the Cantonal Court

(Patria) - Former judge of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, Lejla Fazlagić, has returned to BiH and will attend tomorrow's hearing at the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo, her attorney Belma Balijagić Džuho confirmed to Faktor.

The hearing on the plea, at which Fazlagić did not appear due to illness, was held 11 days ago.

- Fazlagić did not appear at the last hearing without justification, as she had COVID-19. That has been resolved; her absence was justified. She will definitely come to the hearing tomorrow, that is why she is in the country - added Balijagić Džuho.

A warrant for Fazlagić was issued in November 2016, and an indictment against her was filed in 2018, after she was questioned in Rijeka.

The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo charges her with being a member of an organized criminal group led by the accused Alija Delimustafić from 2009 to 2016.

"In fabricated court proceedings conducted by Judge Lejla Fazlagić-Pašić, properties of deceased persons were registered to group members and relatives, and then sold to third parties through contracts.

By committing the aforementioned criminal offenses as an organized group, they acquired illegal property gain in an amount exceeding 10 million marks," the Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton stated at the time.

Given that she was unavailable to the BiH judiciary, Fazlagić's case was separated from others in the "Pravda" case - i.e., Alija Delimustafić and others.
