12 residential buildings to be renovated in Kozarska Dubica and Bosanska Kostajnica

Federal Minister for Displaced Persons and Refugees Adil Osmanović visited the municipalities of Kozarska Dubica and Bosanska Kostajnica today. In the floods that hit BiH in May, Kozarska Dubica suffered some damage to agricultural areas, but not as much as some other areas, Osmanović told the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

- I spoke with the Mayor of Kozarska Dubica Municipality about the reconstruction of infrastructure and residential buildings. We will renovate seven residential buildings and jointly co-finance a sewage system that runs through a returnee settlement. The value of the project is around 250,000 KM – said Osmanović.

Five residential buildings will be renovated in the Municipality of Bosanska Kostajnica.

- In addition, we will reconstruct and asphalt one or two streets where returnees are together with the municipality – Osmanović told Patria.

Otherwise, after the floods, this ministry signed contracts with five construction companies, and all of them assigned two engineers and logistics to survey the flooded areas as soon as possible to begin the reconstruction of buildings.

- These are buildings with minor damages; we are already nearing completion in Doboj, Vukosavlje, Bratunac, and Janja. I think we will very soon proceed with the distribution of construction materials. It consists of flooring, carpentry, doors, water and electrical materials, and after that, the renovation can continue – said Osmanović.
