Bišćević-Tokić on Nikšić: Citizens deserve a prime minister who works, not one who promises what he clearly doesn't plan to fulfill

(Patria) - Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nermin Nikšić continues to create legal and financial insecurity, believes SDA MP in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament Jasmina Bišćević-Tokić.

"Prime Minister of the FBiH Nermin Nikšić increasingly shows that he is not as interested in his own citizens and institutions as he should be. While the public eagerly awaits concrete steps, the prime minister is busy writing - empty promises and statements without real effect.

His latest move? Withdrawal of the Decision on Temporary Financing of the Federation for the first quarter of 2025, announcing that he will send the Budget for 2025 by the end of the week.

What is missing from this writing?

Not a word about the Decision on Temporary Financing of the Employment Agency of the Federation of BiH or the Health Insurance and Reinsurance Fund. Thus, of course, not a word about the fate of cancer patients and other citizens who depend on the work of this Fund.

Where is the responsibility towards those who do not have the luxury of waiting?

This is not the first time the prime minister has misled the public. Let's remember when he demanded the removal of a set of fiscal laws from the agenda of the House of Representatives, because the Government, allegedly, adopted a decree on increasing minimum wages.

This was followed by contradictory statements - the decree was 'prepared', then 'secret', so no one knows anymore if it even exists.

The outcome? Instead of adopting key fiscal laws that would improve the lives of workers and employers, we got another useless piece of writing from the prime minister.

Let's not forget the promise that he would send the Law on the Southern Interconnection to parliament. That law never arrived either.

Instead of action, we get endless circles of the prime minister's writing, while the standard of living of the citizens of the Federation is slowly collapsing.

And now the prime minister promises the Budget for 2025 'by the end of the week' - a document that, according to the law, should have been adopted three months ago. Do we really think he will keep his promise this time, when he has failed so many times?
