Bihać Residents Show the Size of a Krajišnik's Heart: Aid Being Collected for Sabina and Halid

Since this morning, aid has been collected in several places in Bihać for young mother Sabina Čović and her three-year-old son Halid, who was bitten by a dog at the bus station in this city yesterday morning, reports the Patria News Agency.

Many who have joined the initiative do not wish to reveal their names. They come from all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina and from abroad. The mayor of Bihać, Emdžad Galijašević, visited the family, who live in extremely difficult conditions, and promised to do everything to make their lives easier.

Sabina's father was killed in the war, and her mother died. She lives with her son Halid in a dilapidated house in the Ozimice neighborhood of Bihać. They have no income. They manage as best they can, with the most help coming from relatives.

Sabina also takes care of her old grandmother.

Dog in Isolation, Criminal Complaint Filed Against Owner

The dog that attacked and bit little Halid was barely caught this morning and placed in isolation at the Veterinary Service. The owner's identity is known to the police, and a criminal complaint will be filed against him.
