Biographies of SDP Candidates for the Heads of Maglaj, Živinice, Travnik, Srebrenik, Zenica, and Bihać

At the upcoming Local Elections across BiH, the Social Democratic Party has nominated competent individuals for mayors and city mayors. Here is a brief overview of the biographies of the candidates for mayors and city mayors of Maglaj, Živinice, Travnik, Srebrenik, Zenica, and Bihać.

MIRSAD MAHMUTAGIĆ - MAGLAJ

Mahmutagić Mirsad, born on March 31, 1970, in Maglaj, where he still lives with his family. After finishing high school, he began his studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Tuzla in the 1989/90 academic year, where he graduated on September 6, 1996, and obtained his Master's degree in 2009. To date, he has published more than 10 scientific papers as an author or co-author.

During the aggression against BiH, he participated in the defense and spent the entire war in the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In early October 1996, he started working at Natron d.d. Maglaj factory. Since 2010, he has been employed by JP Elektroprivreda BiH as the head of the Maglaj branch.

For the past 12 years, he has also been a member of the Municipal Council of Maglaj. In his last term, he led the SDP BiH Maglaj councilors' club and spearheaded the opposition bloc's activities. He is married and has one child.

SAMIR KAMENJAKOVIĆ - ŽIVINICE

Samir Kamenjaković was born on May 10, 1975, in Tuzla. He completed secondary medical school in Tuzla. He studied medical radiology at the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo, as well as his Master's and doctoral theses.

He completed additional education in health management at the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo. He works at the Department of Radiology, Clinical Center in Tuzla. He is a senior assistant at the Department of Radiological Techniques at the Faculty of Medicine in Tuzla.

He is currently a member of the Assembly of Tuzla Canton. He was a member of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is married and has one child.

SLAVKO SIKIRIĆ - TRAVNIK

Slavko Sikirić was born on June 29, 1955, in Paklarevo, Municipality of Travnik. He obtained his mechanical engineering diploma in Novi Sad in 1977, and additionally graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Novi Sad in 1985, earning the title of graduate economist.

After completing his education, he worked in managerial positions in maintenance and as a commercial officer at AIK Novi Sad, Minakva, after which he served as the Director of the Federal Customs Administration in Sarajevo, then as a minister in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of SBK/KSB, and as the Director of the Health Insurance Fund of SBK/KSB. He also held director positions in companies with majority private capital, and currently heads the company P.T.D. „Igobenz“ d.o.o. Travnik.

Sikirić also has an exceptionally successful sports career behind him. He holds a sixth dan black belt in judo, is a winner of numerous Balkan, European, and world medals, and has received significant awards, from local to state level in ex-Yugoslavia, Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He is married and has three children.

MIRZA KEŠETOVIĆ - SREBRENIK

Mirza Kešetović was born on February 16, 1960, in Brčko. He finished elementary school in Srebrenik in 1974. He completed high school in Tuzla in 1978, and graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo in 1982. He was employed and worked at the then UPI company in commercial management and director positions from 1982-1990. In the early 90s, he moved to the private sector.

He was a member of the Army of RBiH from 1992-1995. After the war, he worked in the private sector until 1998. From 1998 to 2001, he was appointed Head of the Service for Budget, Economy, and Inspections in the Municipality of Srebrenik. From 2001 to 2006, he was the director in the Directorate for Environmental Protection under the Government of TK. After that, he returned to the private sector and served as the director of a private company until 2012. Concurrently, from 2006 to 2010, he was elected as a representative in the Assembly of TK, a position he held voluntarily. He is currently employed as an executive director in the private sector.

MIRSAD ĆIVIĆ - ZENICA

Mirsad Ćivić was born on January 3, 1962, in Kakanj. He is a long-time member of the Social Democratic Party of BiH. He contributed to the work and functioning of the SDP BiH Zenica City Organization through active engagement in the City and Cantonal Boards. From 2006 to 2014, he served as the Vice-President of the SDP BiH Zenica City Organization. He is a graduate forestry engineer by profession and is employed as the head of the Forest Management Unit Zenica. He is married and has two children.

In the 2012 local elections, he was elected as a councilor in the Zenica City Council.

HAJRUDIN HAVIĆ - BIHAĆ

Hajrudin Havić was born in Bihać on January 23, 1969. He completed elementary and high school in Bihać, where he still lives with his wife Snježana and daughter Azra. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Rijeka in 1995, earning the title of Doctor of Medicine.

 

He started working at the Health Center in Bihać in 1997, where he obtained a specialization in Emergency Medicine in 2004. He became the Head of the Emergency Department in 2004. In 2011, he was appointed Director of the Cantonal Hospital “dr. Irfan Ljubijankić” and held this position until March 2015.

 

In the 2014 General Elections, thanks to the support of the citizens, he also became a representative in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the first internal party elections of the Social Democratic Party of BiH held in 2015, based on the principle of “One member – one vote”, he was elected President of the SDP BiH USK Cantonal Committee and holds this position to this day.
