The Democratic Front has published the biographies of its ministers in the Government of Sarajevo Canton, reports the Patria News Agency.

Muharem Fišo - Ministry of Veterans' Affairs KS

Fišo was born on 09/01/1964 in Trznje - Hadžići municipality, where he finished elementary school. He finished high school in Sarajevo from 1979 to 1983, and after finishing high school, his first job was at ŽTP Sarajevo in the railway transport department as a freight transport organization clerk.

After that, he became the head of procurement and sales at the trading company “Željeznički konzumi“ d.o.o. Sarajevo, where he stayed until the beginning of the aggression against RBiH.

In parallel, while working, he completed higher education in Belgrade and obtained the title of commercialist, and after being demobilized from the Army of RBiH, he obtained the title of graduate economist, and is currently preparing to defend his master's thesis in Economics on the topic: “Public spending in the function of macroeconomic stabilization“.

During the defense-liberation war from 1992 to 1995, he stayed in Trznje, Hadžići municipality, and was engaged in the 109th Mountain Brigade of the Army of RBiH, where he remained until the end of the aggression against our country. During the aggression against RBiH, he held a number of positions for which he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant of the ARBiH in 1993. He was present on the defense lines of the free Hadžići territory and the Treskavica-Bjelašnica and Kiseljak-Fojnica battlefields. Until the end of the aggression, he also held the position of Assistant Commander for Logistics of the 3rd Battalion of the 109th Mountain Brigade of the Army of RBiH.


After demobilization, he worked at J.P. Željeznice Federacije BiH and in a private company for Technical Inspection and Servicing of Vehicles until 2009, in the position of deputy director. He also participated in international seminars in Germany and Croatia in the project of introducing the ISO quality system standards and obtained the title of certified auditor for the introduction of ISO quality systems. Since March 2013, he has been working at KJKP Park d.o.o. Sarajevo in the position of Company Director and Assistant Director for Economic and Financial Affairs.

In the 2008 municipal elections, he was elected councilor in the Municipal Council of Hadžići and also served as the president of the municipal commission for Budget and Finance. In the 2014 general elections, he was elected to the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBiH, where he serves as the president of the caucus and the chairman of the Committee for Spatial Planning and Communal Activities, as well as a member of the Committee for Finance and Budget of the Federation of BiH.

He is currently the vice-president of the Hadžići Handball Club and a member of the Association for the Realization of Rights of Veterans RVI and Martyrs' or Fallen Soldiers' Families. He is involved in the work of humanitarian organizations and provides full assistance to those in need. He made a special contribution to the project of employment and retraining of demobilized soldiers during 2013 and 2014, for which he received awards and commendations. He passively speaks Russian and German. He is married and the father of two children.

Samer Rešidat - Ministry of Culture and Sports 

Samer Rešidat was born in 1971, is a long-time business professional and owner of the travel agency "Sol Azur" from Sarajevo. He completed elementary and high school in Sarajevo, and studied in Jordan. He is the president of the Cantonal Board of the Democratic Front.

He has numerous awards for his work, and in 2005, the Ministry of Tourism of Tunisia awarded him a special prize for successes achieved in promoting Tunisia's tourism offer. He holds the title of top manager of Southeast and Central Europe for successful business operations and management of tourism companies. He speaks two languages: English and Arabic.

Emira Tanović Mikulec - Ministry of Health 

Emira Tanović–Mikulec is a medical doctor, employed at the Institute of Public Health of Sarajevo Canton. By decision of the DF Presidency, she was appointed president of the Council for Social Rights of the DF Political Academy. She participated in the development of the Political Program for Health and the Program for Social Policy of the DF.

She is a member of the Health Committee of the VDP - Political Academy, in whose work she actively participated. She is a successful graduate of numerous trainings, courses, and exams.

Karolina Karačić, Ministry of Labour, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees

Karačić is a graduate traffic engineer born in Sarajevo on November 25, 1963, where she completed the Third Gymnasium, and then the Faculty of Transport Engineering, after which, as a scholarship holder of the Railways of BiH, she was employed in the Directorate of Railways.

Currently employed as a reinsurance manager in a private insurance company. Since the founding of DF, she has been politically engaged for the first time as the party's vice-president. Married, mother of two children.

Predrag Kurteš – Ministry of Internal Affairs KS

Kurteš was born in 1953 in Sarajevo. 
He completed elementary and secondary electrical engineering school, then the Higher School of Administration and the Faculty of Business Studies, thus acquiring the titles of administrative lawyer and graduate economist.

Graduate of the FBI Academy in Virginia, USA, and the FBI Academy "ILEA" in Budapest, Hungary, with the title of specialist in the field of counter-terrorism.

He has been employed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RBiH since 1987. During his career in the criminal police, he held positions from investigator in a police station, through several management positions in the criminal police departments of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton, to the head of the Criminal Police Sector of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton, which he led with the rank of "Chief Inspector" from February 2007.

Among other things, in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, he was the Assistant Minister for Criminal Police, as well as the acting Minister in the MUP of Sarajevo Canton.
From 1970 to 1984, he was professionally involved in sports.

He has received several domestic and international awards and decorations for exceptionally successful work and activity in the field of internal affairs. Married, father of one child. 

Enver Smajkan - Ministry of Justice and Administration

Smajkan was born on September 7, 1962, in Foča municipality. He completed the Secondary Military School in Sarajevo. He graduated from the Faculty of Law in Sarajevo in 1992. He passed the judicial exam and the bar exam. He worked in the former JNA from 1981 to 1992. He was a member of the Army of RBiH from April to August 1992, and from August 1992 to 2007 he worked in the Ministry of Defense of RBiH and the Federal Ministry of Defense of BiH.

In the Ministry of Defense, he performed the duties of expert associate for legal affairs, head of the department for drawing up lists, head of the department for administrative supervision, head of the department for administrative decision-making and misdemeanor proceedings, head of the department for administrative decision-making and misdemeanor proceedings, and representation in labor and other disputes from 1996 to 2005.

From 09/01/2007 to 08/30/2008, he served as advisor in the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office of the Federation of BiH, and from 09/01/2008, he holds the position of Deputy Federal Public Prosecutor of the Federation of BiH.

He is married and has two children. His wife, as a graduate economist, is employed in the Federal Civil Protection Administration of the Federation of BiH.
