There were initiatives to join Dodik's government, First of March is categorically against it

Milorad Dodik's positions are well-known to us, but today we did not even discuss coalition with him, said Almir Salihović, coordinator of the First of March coalition for the BiH news agency Patria after a meeting with representatives of three parties (HSP, SBB, SBiH) signatories of the Homeland coalition.

- Coalition with the policy that Dodik pursued in the previous term, which was aimed at obstructing the return and making life difficult for Bosniak and Croat returnees, is out of the question. We only discussed what the legislative power is and what Bośniaks and Croats in RS are entitled to by law and the Constitution - said Salihović.

Although Vinko Jakić spoke about ministerial positions today, Salihović said that it was only information they received from the Homeland club, who had consultations with Dodik, about what he was offering to the Homeland coalition as a possibility to join the government. He also said that even though representatives of SDA and DF were not present today, they had consultations on what should be released to the public and what conclusions should be drawn.

Regarding Dodik's statements that there is no cooperation with the Homeland coalition, Salihović said that it only made their job easier.

- There were some initiatives from people who thought that we should still consider the possibility of joining the government with Dodik, but this is good proof that there is no chance of coalition with a man who denies genocide, makes life difficult for returnees, and all of this is part of the platform on which the Homeland coalition was founded and which guided us in forming the government - said Salihović.
