Bijedić: ŽFBiH repaid a debt of 32 million KM and paid two salaries

Federal Minister of Transport and Communications Enver Bijedić held a working meeting today, at the suggestion of the president of the Independent Trade Union of Railway Workers in BiH Ernes Husarić, with members of the Executive Board of the Independent Trade Union of Railway Workers in BiH and the management of the Public Enterprise Railways of Federation of BiH, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The president of the railway union wanted to thank Minister Bijedić for his commitment to resolving the accumulated problems concerning the work of this company, the effort invested in appointing management, and his engagement during the July strike. He also expressed satisfaction with the cooperation the union has with the new management, which has managed to ensure regular payment of salaries and contributions, which was not the case before.

Minister Bijedić reminded that the commitment to the Public Enterprise Railways, a system of almost four thousand employees and the lifeline of economic development, has always been a priority in his work.

He reminded that this management managed to repay 32 million KM of previously incurred debts from its own funds, pay two back salaries, and not enter into any unfavorable contracts - as previous managements did.

All participants of the meeting agreed in good faith to continue resolving open issues with the full support of the line ministry headed by Minister Bijedić, who once again took the opportunity to congratulate the management and trade unions on their success in restoring the railway line to a passable state in record time after the May and August floods.
