Bijedić: SDP will not block government formation, our support will go to a competent candidate

The session of the Main Board of the Social Democratic Party of BiH was held, concluding that this party will not block the establishment of the executive authority, reports the Patria news agency.

Specifically, the SDP will not block the appointment of the Vice President of the Federation of BiH from the Serbian people, which has been stalling the government formation process in the larger entity.

As Enver Bijedić, a member of the SDP Main Board, told Patria, their delegates in the House of Peoples of the FBiH will support whichever candidate is proposed, but that candidate must be competent for the position.

- We expect that candidate to be without blemish, not involved in any scandals. Generally, we will not be obstructors of government formation, because we work in the interest of the people - said Bijedić.

The SDP will not propose its own candidate for Vice President of the FBiH (they have six Serbian delegates in the House of Peoples), as they remain in opposition.
