BIHAMK: Avoid long-distance driving

Due to high daily air temperatures, BiHAMK urges drivers to avoid long-distance driving during the day, and if you are traveling we recommend taking more frequent breaks, reports the Patria News Agency.

On the A-1 highway on the Visoko-Dobrinje section, repair work is being carried out on expansion joints on the M6 bridge, due to which traffic is being redirected from the driving lane to the overtaking lane and vice versa. We also draw attention to the Podlugovi-Visoko section, where regular maintenance work is being carried out today. We urge drivers to adjust their driving to the announced works.*

Today and for the next two days, due to the cultural event (XIV Festival of Folklore Creation of BiH), traffic will be stopped on the M-14 highway Bosanska Krupa-Bosanski Novi in the town of Bosanska Otoka from 7 PM to 7:30 PM.

According to information collected from the BiH Border Police, waiting times at the Doljani border crossing when entering our country are up to one hour, while at other border crossings, delays do not exceed 30 minutes. We remind drivers that GP Gabela Polje is temporarily open as an international border crossing (until October 1st). Due to works in Croatia, a traffic ban for heavy goods vehicles is in effect at the Brčko-Gunja border crossing.  Due to repair works on the bridge at the Bosanski Šamac border crossing, traffic is proceeding slowly, on one lane.
