BIHAĆ Migrants from abandoned buildings transferred to Lipa center

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In the early morning hours, the Service for Foreigners' Affairs yesterday undertook operational activities aimed at controlling the movement and stay of migrants in the area of the city of Bihać in order to relocate migrants from abandoned buildings to the temporary reception center Lipa.

Inspectors of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs carried out control of the movement and stay of migrants at the locations Žegar, Vedro polje, and Bakšaiš.

At all the aforementioned locations, inspectors for foreigners found a total of 46 persons, originating from Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Service relocated these persons to the temporary reception center Lipa, where they were provided with medical assistance, identified and registered, and provided with accommodation, food, and other non-food items.

The implemented activity is a continuation of the continuous operational activities of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs in relocating migrants from improvised accommodation capacities to temporary reception centers in order to better manage migration processes.
