Bosnia and Herzegovina seeks redemption against Slovakia in Bratislava after loss to Sweden

The Bosnia and Herzegovina basketball team plays its fifth Pre-Qualification match for the 2019 World Championship tonight in Bratislava against the host selection of Slovakia, writes the Patria agency.

After the home defeat in Zenica against Sweden, our team found itself in a much more difficult position, as for placement in the qualifications it cannot afford a slip-up in the remaining two matches against Slovakia and Armenia.

After the loss to Sweden, three players left the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team. Due to a breach of team discipline, coach Vujošević removed Alex Renfroe from the squad, while Stefan Glogovac and Nikola Gajić joined the preparations of Igokea.

Although the atmosphere in the team is likely shaken after the heavy and unexpected defeat to Sweden, our players are optimistic and believe in victory against Slovakia.

After four rounds played, first place in our group is held by Armenia with 7 points, Sweden and Bosnia and Herzegovina have 6 each, and Slovakia 5. The top two teams will advance to further competition.

The match against Slovakia is played in Bratislava at 6 PM with a live broadcast on BHT 1.
