SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The basketball team of Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated the selection of Belgium tonight (72:70) in the 'Mirza Delibašić' hall as part of the qualifiers for the World Cup which will be played in China next year.
With great support from the fans in Sarajevo, BiH came one step closer to qualifying for the next round of qualifiers with tonight's victory in the third round of qualifications.
The most effective players for BiH were Nemanja Gordić with 17 points, Musa and Stipanović with 16 points each, and Halilović with 10 points.
BiH plays its next match on Sunday away against the Russian national team, which they previously defeated at home.
The top three teams from each of the eight groups in the first round will qualify for the second round of qualifications for the World Cup in China.
