Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated by Cyprus 2:3

The national football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina lost to Cyprus with a score of 2:3 in the 7th round of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

The Dragons led at halftime 2:0, but played below all expectations in the second half, and in the end, the Cypriots achieved the biggest comeback in their football history.

Toni Šunjić scored after finding himself best in the penalty area following a well-taken Pjanić corner. Ten minutes later, the Dragons doubled their lead. Kolašinac broke through brilliantly on the left and set up Edin Višća, who put the ball into the net for 2:0. However, this was followed by three goals from Cyprus, causing a real shock for the Dragons.

With this defeat, the BiH national team remained in third place in Group H with 11 points. Greece in second place has one point more, while Belgium is at the top of the table with 19 points.
