Bosnia and Herzegovina aims to forget Cyprus shame with a victory against Gibraltar

The Bosnia and Herzegovina national team is playing a qualifying match tonight against Gibraltar for next year's World Cup in Russia, reports Patria agency.

The match against weak Gibraltar is the best opportunity for our national team players to somewhat improve the impression with a victory after a shameful performance and defeat against Cyprus three days ago.

- We have to turn to the new match. We respect the Gibraltar team and we have to show the right reaction, behavior, and game. To try to justify ourselves for the match in Cyprus, although it will be difficult. We hope that this time some things will fall into place for us to stay in the race for our goal – said coach Mehmed Baždarević before tonight's match.

The coach emphasized that the national team failed in all segments of the game against Cyprus, but that we must now turn to the match against Gibraltar.

- We are turning to the match that awaits us. Kodro is training with the team, and if the medical team assesses that he can play, he will be considered for the match with Gibraltar – Baždarević stated.

Our national team's midfielder Mato Jajalo is aware of the mistakes against Cyprus, but we need to focus on the upcoming match.

- I think everyone has had such a match. The lesson is not new, it's just a confirmation that if you don't enter the match and don't think about it one hundred percent, you can't easily beat anyone. We just have to prepare seriously for the match and be dedicated to our tasks. If everyone enters with maximum concentration and ready to give their best from the first minute, there should be no problems – Jajalo emphasized.

The BiH-Gibraltar match will be played tonight at 8:45 PM at the Algarve Stadium in Portugal.
