Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Belgium, magnificent performance by Jones with 44 points

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - At Sarajevo's Skenderija, the women's basketball team defeated Belgium 87:81 in an exciting match in the 1st round of Eurobasket 2023 qualifiers.

At one point, Bosnia and Herzegovina had a lead of more than 20 points, but in the final quarter Belgium had a good run and managed to reduce the deficit to just six points.

Jonquel Jones played an unforgettable game. She scored 44 points and grabbed 22 rebounds, receiving good support from Matea Tavić who scored 17 points. Goran Loje's selections played an excellent game at the start of the qualifiers, enjoying great support from the stands.
