BiH the least developed European country, in the company of Armenia and Moldova

Bosnia and Herzegovina ranked 91st in the Legatum Institute's Prosperity Index this year, which is six places better than the previous year, or nine places better than in 2012, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

Norway has been the most successful country in the world for the sixth consecutive year according to this institute's Index, which assesses the progress and development of 142 countries.

Legatum released the 2014 Prosperity Index on Tuesday, which evaluates countries in the areas of economy, governance, education, health, safety, personal freedom, and social capital.

Norway is followed in success by Switzerland, New Zealand, Denmark, Canada, and in the top ten are also Sweden, Australia, Finland, the Netherlands, and the USA.

As for our neighbours, Croatia ranks 50th, Slovenia is 24th, Montenegro is 65th, Macedonia is 69th, and Serbia is 77th.

The least successful countries are the Central African Republic, which is at the very bottom of the list of 142 countries, followed by Chad, Congo, Burundi, Yemen, Afghanistan, Togo, Haiti, Sierra Leone, and Guinea, reports NAP.
