Bosnia and Herzegovina and Germany sign agreement worth 19 million BAM

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Crnadak and German Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Christiane Hohmann today in Sarajevo signed and exchanged notes on an agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federal Republic of Germany, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced, as reported by the Patria agency. 

By signing this agreement, the Council of Ministers is provided with the amount of 18,516,696.80 euros intended for projects called “Additional Environmental Protection Measures in the Energy Sector” in the amount of 5,500,000 euros and “Wastewater Drainage/Treatment in Zenica” in the amount of 13,016,696.80 euros.

As part of the financial resources intended for the mentioned projects, an additional 1,000,000 euros will be allocated for financing accompanying measures necessary for the implementation and monitoring of the projects, so that the total amount of funds intended for the projects is 19,016,696.80 euros.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at its session held on June 27, adopted a Decision on accepting the Notes of the Agreement on Financial Cooperation between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of Germany for 2016, and authorized Minister Crnadak to sign this agreement.

The Ministry of Finance and Treasury of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the project holder, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will carry out the exchange of notes, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
