BiH still has the highest unemployment rate in the region

The EU and most countries in the region recorded a lower unemployment rate in the first half of 2016.

Although the unemployment rate in BiH according to the labor force survey has decreased, it is noted that it is still the highest compared to countries in the region, announced the Directorate for Economic Planning (DEP) of BiH.

According to the Directorate's document, the survey-based unemployment rate in BiH in the first half of this year was 25.4 percent, which is 2.3 percentage points lower compared to the same period last year, but even as such it is the highest in the region. The unemployment rate in BiH is almost three times higher than in Slovenia and Bulgaria, writes Patria.
